2026 Vice Chancellor's Staff Award Winner


We are pleased to share that our fantastic leader, Dr Adrian Gleiss has won the Vice Chancellor's award for Murdoch University Mid-Career Researcher for 2026!


"Dr Adrian Gleiss has built an internationally recognised research program exploring how marine animals move, use energy and respond to changing environments."


"Since joining Murdoch in 2015 as an ARC DECRA Fellow, he has published more than 90 research outputs, attracting over 6,600 citations, with work featured in leading journals including Science, Nature Communications and Current Biology. Since 2020, he has secured and contributed more than $8 million in collaborative research funding to support projects focused on vulnerable species, marine conservation and Indigenous-led monitoring. Through strong partnerships, research leadership and supervision of the next generation of researchers, Dr Gleiss continues to make a significant impact in marine science and conservation."
